You can thank the Cubs and Wrigley Field for giving us our one and only taste of day baseball on this Friday. I'll be back in a bit with a recap of yesterday's results and the picks for tonight's full slate of action. For now, here's a winner to get your day started right.
St. Louis @ Chicago - Fat Albert and Chris Carpenter roll into ChiTown for an interesting three games set. The Cubs offense has continued to struggle though you can expect it to get going as Aramis Ramirez gets more ABs under his belt. Don't underestimate just how important his bat in the middle of the lineup is to this team. However, the solution for a sputtering offense is never a date with Chris Carpenter. Aside from one clunker against SF, he's been his typical dominant self this season. Even more convincing is just how much more dominant he is during the day (3-1, 1.23). Rich Harden can certainly be a formidable opponent but he won't have enough today. I like the Cards (-115) to win this game 5-1. LOCK IT UP
