Blue Turf Serves as Center Stage for CFL Kickoff

The day is finally here. College football kicks off the season with a slew of games today and tonight. While we are incredibly excited about this and have at least to Unpickable Master Locks for CFL games tonight, we need to get some day game MLB house cleaning out of the way. We'll be back with a football-focused post this afternoon (it will also include night MLB games). However, we have two MLB UMLs in early baseball action:

Unpickable Master Locks:

Milwaukee @ St. Louis - It goes without saying these days; if the Cards are playing, the Locks is loving them. John Smoltz stars in act two of his NL reclamation project today against a Milwaukee team that probably wants a do-over for the entire 2009 season. Manny Parra is the next in line to get paddy-whacked by the Cards. Hopefully he was not watching Dave Bush's effort last night. Take the Cards (-177) to win 6-4. LOCK IT UP

NYM @ Colorado - Things don't get any better for the Pets today as they march out Pat Misch (who?) to face Jason Marquis. I'm sure the Pets fancy themselves playoff spoilers but there isn't much that lineup can spoil beyond the sanity of their fans. The Rocks are dialed in to a major playoff race and can't afford a slip up against a far inferior team. Take Colorado (-250) to win 7-3. LOCK IT UP

Back with more later.....
